Preliminary Implementation Recommendations for K-12 Educator Apprenticeship Data Infrastructure and Reporting to the U.S. Department of Labor
The Pathways Alliance
Data Infrastructure & Reporting
High-quality data is essential to building, sustaining, and scaling effective educator apprenticeship programs. The Pathways Alliance supports the development of clear, standards-aligned data systems that connect preparation, practice, and workforce outcomes. This page offers tools, frameworks, and resources from our active working group to help states, districts, and preparation providers design data infrastructure that supports continuous improvement, ensures compliance, and enables meaningful reporting on apprenticeship progress and impact.
This working group aims to develop a set of national resources to support the growth of teacher apprenticeship programs nationally by addressing a core operational need – collecting data for progress monitoring and reporting purposes about Department of Labor-sponsored educator apprenticeship programs. Accurate data collection and use of standards-aligned systems will ensure compliance with reporting requirements, create a national data set for research outcomes about apprenticeships, further integrate labor and workforce data about educators for data-driven decision-making, and support improved decision-making in implementing apprenticeship programming.
