Teacher Preparation Design Principles Grounded in the Science of Learning and Development
SOLD LEARNING CAFÉ SERIES
This Learning Café introduced design principles grounded in the science of learning and development (SoLD) for teacher preparation built on recent syntheses of research and on the wisdom of practice that is found in many leading-edge programs of preparation, including EdPrepLab members. The design principles are intended to inform ongoing efforts by individual programs to strengthen the ways in which they prepare candidates for teaching. They are also intended to inform the ongoing efforts of accrediting bodies and licensing agencies to frame the expectations for teacher preparation.
